NFYFC's Annual General Meeting 2022

Sunday 24 April, 10.30am, Warwickshire

Arrangements for the NFYFC Annual General Meeting 2022 are now being made, and a copy of the first draft of the agenda for the meeting to be held on Sunday 24 April 2022 can be downloaded here.

At this stage of preparing the agenda for the meeting we invite YFC Clubs and County Federations to put forward a motion to be added to the agenda and be debated at the meeting.  [Note: as per NFYFCs Standing Orders, only YFC Clubs, County Federations and the NFYFC Council can put forward motions to the AGM meeting].

YFC Clubs, County Federations and the NFYFC Council are encouraged to put forward motions for debate. Please therefore consider topics that can be debated at the meeting. Why not consider putting forward a topic of current interest to young people living and working in rural England and Wales?

Topics discussed at the Annual General Meeting are not limited to the administration of the organisation or YFC subscriptions and wider issues are strongly encouraged, such as:

  • agriculture and rural industry
  • the countryside and conservation
  • planning
  • rural transport
  • social media
  • employment
  • housing.

Should you wish to discuss a potential subject further, please do not hesitate to contact any of the NFYFC Office holders or James Eckley.

The deadline for receiving motions for the AGM Agenda from YFC clubs and county federations is Monday 14 February (12 noon).

Below is the full timetable for building the agenda for the meeting. The next stage, by 21 February, will be the publications of second draft agenda with an invitation to YFC clubs and county federations to put forward any amendments to the motions on the agenda.

Motions should be addressed to James Eckley, Chief Officer to Sandra Bromley on or before the deadline of 12 noon, Monday 14 February 2022.

Votes at NFYFC's AGM

Every YFC Club will be emailed two votes (one to the club chair and one to the club secretary) and we encourage every club to use its votes. County federations and area committees also each receive a vote, as do members of the NFYFC Council.

Votes will be conducted using an online voting system and several days before the meeting, emails will be sent to those entitled to vote with the voting instructions and vote login details. Voting will open several days before the meeting.

In this area of the website you will find information and support guides on how to hold a successful debate in your club to help you discuss the proposals outlined below. A set of FAQs also provides background information about NFYFC and the process of Council.
