Promoting British agriculture focus for 2011 ARAC Forum

Industry experts joining this year's ARAC Forum debate are announced

Sainsbury’s Annie Graham, Natural England’s Poul Christensen and President of the WI Ruth Bond are amongst the lead speakers at the National Federation of Young Farmers’ Clubs’ (NFYFC) annual agriculture and rural affairs forum.  They will be working with their discussion groups to devise ways of taking the topic into YFC hands.

To celebrate NFYFC re-joining CEJA (European Young Farmers) and to continue to highlight the importance of European politics, CEJA President Joris Baecke flies over from the Netherlands to discuss European farming and CEJA’s position on support for the next generation of farmers in the forthcoming Common Agricultural Policy (CAP) Reform.

The Winter Gardens complex is perfectly situated at the heart of the North West of England, in Britain’s most famous seaside resort, Blackpool.

By road

There are direct motorway links (M55/M6/M62) and express coach services connecting many UK towns and cities. There are many public car parks available once you reach Blackpool.

By rail

Blackpool benefits from an excellent rail network linking Scotland, Yorkshire, the Midlands and the south-east. The Blackpool North Station is the closest and just a 10-minute walk or short taxi ride away.

By air

With daily flights from London-Stansted , Belfast, Dublin and other European cities to the newly developed Blackpool Airport, the Winter Gardens is more accessible than ever before. Also, Manchester International Airport is only an hour’s drive away.

By sea

Ferry ports at Liverpool, Holyhead and Heysham offer fast Sea Cat ferry crossings from Ireland enabling visitors to arrive in Blackpool just one hour after disembarking.
