TRAIN THE TRAINER


WHAT DOES THE COURSE OFFER?
A fun and inspiring course which helps develop skills in training delivery, planning and evaluation, so participants aren't limited to just delivering county-level club officer training.
 
WHO IS THE COURSE FOR?
The course is designed for YFC members who are going to be involved in delivering county level training and, ideally, have previously held club officer positions and will be looking to progress within their county.
 
WHAT DOES IT INVOLVE?
The course, delivered at a level two standard (GCSE level equivalent) includes a full weekend of training. It covers:
  • Identifying learning needs.
  • Developing training plans in line with best practice.
  • Analysing tasks and designing training activities to facilitate learning.
  • Training groups of different sizes.
  • How to monitor and evaluate training.
  • How to facilitate learning effectively.
  • Games and icebreakers to use in training.
  • Methods of training delivery.
  • The training needs of club officers.

Successful completion of train the trainer results in an ITOL level 2 foundation certificate in staff development and recipients are given the option to join ITOL and deliver their own accredited training.
