A former Blue Peter presenter, Matt has won two BAFTAs for Best Children's presenter. He is the regular co-host of The One Show and was also a finalist of Strictly Come Dancing 2010 and took part in the 2011 live tour.

As a boy, Matt was a British gymnastic and sports acrobatics champion, later joining the BBC Grandstand team as a world gymnastics presenter and commentator. He is also a hang-gliding world record holder. Matt is a regular BBC commentator for a host of sporting events including the Olympics.

Matt is a big supporter of YFC and has helped with judging and other events and competitions. His mum, Janice, is Durham YFC's county organiser.
