Key timings

June- August

Start researching and planning your project. What community projects would be helpful in your rural community? Has litter become a big problem? Does the village hall need refreshing? Are there any local schools or community groups your YFC could partner with to get the job done?

It’s also time to ensure you do risk assessments for any projects and ensure you can follow any current Covid-secure guidance at the time of your project. It’s worth having a contingency plan in place too in case any restrictions are increased again.

September-October

Get your project underway and involve as many members as possible. Tell NFYFC about your project and record any litter picking on the Environment Agency form here.

Shout about your project too – using the template press release (if required) and social media graphics. Post photos of members getting involved and share them with NFYFC (tag @NFYFC, @NatWestBusiness and @EnvAgency).

National Young Farmers’ Week 2021 (25-29 Oct)

Write about the impact of your project or create a video to share during National Young Farmers’ Week 2021. Send it to NFYFC so we can include in our promotional materials.
