Advanced Train the Trainer

If you want to take your train the trainer learning to the next level, then why not give this course a go.

Who has this course been developed for?

The Advanced Train the Trainer course (ATTT) has been developed specifically for those who have already attended the NFYFC Train the Trainer who would like the opportunity to further build on the training skills learnt.

Successful completion of this ITOL accredited course will result in the achievement of the internationally recognised ‘Certificate in Training and Occupational Learning’.  This certification is well recognised and respected within the realm of training – it therefore benefits both the YFC training and the career opportunities of those who complete the course.

What’s involved?

The ATTT course will be conducted at a level 3 standard (A Level) and will include a full weekend of training; all who apply for this course must be happy that they can work at this level and must be able to attend the full weekend.  The course will involve the following components:

  • Prior to the course participants must complete some pre-course project work and research.
  • During the weekend all attendees are required to conduct a micro training session (i.e. a 10 minute training session which will be observed).

·         The course will follow ITOL & NFYFC course content requirements, these include:

    • How to identify learning needs at individual, occupational and organisational levels
    • Prepare and develop resources to support learning
    • Design objective achieving training and development sessions
    • State how to recognise and provide for specific learning/training needs
    • Deliver training effectively utilising a range of techniques
    • State how and why to monitor and evaluate training including long term evaluation
    • State how to monitor and maintain equal opportunities within the training function
    • Cost training activities
    • Discuss how to maintain ongoing high quality training within your County

All those who successfully complete this course will have the opportunity to become a member of ITOL (annual charge made by ITOL for membership).  Becoming a member of ITOL is not a requirement of the course but is just an option to consider.

Membership of ITOL includes several benefits including:

o   The ability to deliver and accredit the courses delivered internally for YFC members

o   As a qualified member of the Institute the letters - MITOL can be used after your name – this is particularly useful when working with employers/inspectors/customers.

o   Other benefits of membership are shown at the following address:

To ensure that this subsidy has positive effect on the organisation all attendees of the course will be required to deliver at least 3 different training sessions within 12 months.  If these requirements are not met then the full cost of the training will be issued to the attendee.  By attending this course you are accepting these conditions.

All pre-course study given must be completed – without this the accredited award will not be achieved. Should attendees not complete the work given then they will be billed the cost of their registration.

This course is seen as a follow up course to Train the Trainer – therefore to attend the ATTT course you must have previously attended the TTT course (or have strong evidence of working in a professional training/teaching capacity within a professional workplace)

To confirm places the booking form must be completed and payment MUST be received – without these places will not be confirmed.
