NFYFC receives Defra funding to organise various events, competitions and training. With it, the organisation aims to create innovative opportunities for YFC members to attend, gain knowledge from and replicate at area, county or club level.
Discuss ideas for future farming and conservation

The RSPB has offered interested members the chance to discuss ideas for future farming and conservation, listen to Robert Law, host farmer of this year’s Cereals event, and visit the RSPB’s Hope Farm.
A day of discussion with policy-makers, farmers and environmentalists

Applictions on a first come, first served basis and you will be notified if you have secured a place. The day is free to YFC members. If you can’t attend the day yourself but would like to nominate a YFC representative who would contribute to the debate, please do so.
Regional link days
NFYFC holds two link days to enable county link representatives and YFC members to exchange information and network.
Wednesday 31 March 2010: Visit to a beacon farm
- Mentley Farm, Mentley Lane West, Great Munden, Ware, Hertfordshire.
- Free of charge and open to all YFC members.
- Applications will be treated on a first come, first served basis.

Previous events
May 2009
A study tour to the NFU London office and Parliament took place in May 2009. YFC members discussed forthcoming policies including the Responsibility and Cost Sharing consultation with NFU advisers and were given a guided tour of the Houses of Parliament.
