Brook

Brook is a sexual health charity for young people. NFYFC has commissioned Brook and the National Youth Agency (NYA) to help raise awareness of sexual health issues among its members and to write a sexual health policy for the organisation.



The Duke of Edinburgh's Award

The Duke of Edinburgh's Award is a voluntary, non-competitive and flexible programme of cultural and adventurous activities for all young people. NFYFC is one of 400 licensed operating authorities for the Award and members aged 14-25 can apply to do the programme through NFYFC.



Fresh Start

Fresh Start is an industry-led initiative designed to encourage new entrants into farming and to help established farmers think about how they can develop their businesses in the future. NFYFC is a major supporter and YFC members are actively involved with Fresh Start Academies.



English Rural Housing Association

English Rural is one of the leading researchers and developers of affordable village housing, and works with a variety of partners to tackle the housing problems affecting rural communities.



NNFCC

The National Non-Food Crops Centre (NNFCC) provides information to farmers, industry, government and the public on crop-derived renewable materials. Its remit includes biofuels, renewable polymers, plant-derived pharmaceuticals, renewable construction materials, and fine chemicals.



Shell liveWIRE

Shell LiveWIRE provides a web-based portal for 16-30 year-olds to use when developing their own business as well as hosting a national competition. It operates as a free internet service offering advice, training and hands-on guidance for young people thinking of starting a new business or supporting those who already are.



The Year of Food and Farming

The Year of Food and Farming begins in September 2007 and is a campaign designed to promote healthy living by giving young people direct experience of the countryside, farming and food. NFYFC is part of the Food and Farming Working Group and has pledged to help communicate the initiative and encourage regional participation.
