Young Farmers will be displaying their pulling power next weekend at the finals of the NFYFC Tug of War competitions.

One hundred and fifty Young Farmers from across England and Wales will take part in the finals at Tenbury Countryside Show on Saturday 3rd August.

The event promises to be a battle of willpower and strength in three sections – ladies, men’s and mixed under 17s, with the finals for each section taking place in the Grand Ring from 4.45pm.

The competition, which is held annually, is the culmination of months of hard training for many YFC members, who will have also competed in County and Area rounds to reach the national finals.

Hannah Talbot, NFYFC’s Competitions Chairman said:

“Competitions are at the heart of YFC, from Club level right up to National and it’s always brilliant to see the amount of talent we have in our membership. The competitions programme is there to give everyone a chance to take part in something they might not have tried before.”

Supporters can buy tickets for the Tenbury Show from the NFYFC office at a discounted rate - £8 for adults and £2 for children, under 5s go free.
