Young farmers from Sweden, Canada and Austria are visiting clubs and counties at the moment to find out more about YFCs in the UK.

The five arrived during Council weekend in June to meet up with their County representatives to start their five week stay in the UK.
Linnea Wallin from Sweden, Hannah Dixon and Chantal Davidson, both from Canada 4H, Esther Hani from Switzerland and Sara Swatz from Austria are all staying with members.

Clubs and counties have been tweeting about their exchange visits. Montgomery YFC tweeted in July: “Big Monty YFC welcome to our international exchangees visiting the county as part of @WalesYFC and @NFYFC international programs #yfctravel”

Amanda Harris from Cornwall FYFC took her Canadian exchangee to the beach and showed off the local tourist attractions. “I introduced her to the club and we even managed to go to a YFC event,” said Amanda who later tweeted: “Has had a great week entertaining Canadian exchange student! #cornishsummer #yfctravel”

Hosting an exchange from overseas can be a great way to learn more about other cultures and locations. Every year, YFC looks for clubs to host exchangees and also offers trips overseas for members.
