Put that Hoedown, the single created by Essex FYFC in support of the Rural+ campaign, can be bought as a CD on Amazon from 24 August 2014.

The County has unfortunately had a long wait to get the CD version of Put that Hoedown listed on Amazon after officially launching the track on iTunes back in May.

The new CD version is only £2.99 and includes a previously unreleased instrumental bonus track and a six-page booklet, including the story behind the single, photos of YFC members and thank you messages.

The single, which was the brainchild of Essex FYFC Chairman Sam Iddison, started off as an idea to raise money in the build up to Convention by aiming to get a single into the UK Top 40.

With support from a record label, professional lyricist and some strong vocals from club members, the County found themselves recording their single at the world famous Abbey Road Studios. The track even had a guest vocalist in the form of comedian Alexander Armstrong and singer Chesney Hawkes makes an appearance in the video.

Following lots of support on social media and in their local press, the single made it inside the top 60 UK singles charts and was the fifth highest new entry on the week it was released.

The video has had more than 86,000 views on YouTube and they are hoping the new CD version will give the single another boost.

Sam said: “I know there are quite a lot of supporters who have been waiting for the CD, as they don't have an Apple device to buy it from iTunes. Sales will mean we can raise more funds for YoungMinds and The Farming Community Network.”

Purchase the CD from Amazon.
