YFC members from across England and Wales have elected their new officer team for the NFYFC national council for the coming year. Pailton and Warwickshire YFC's James Chapman steps up from two terms as vice chairman to lead the council for the forthcoming year,  supported by vice chairs Mark Williams and Milly Wastie. Mark is a past chairman of Wales YFC and Milly is a member of Grendon YFC in Northamptonshire federation.

The agriculture and rural affairs steering group will be led by Milly Wastie as chairwoman, with Harleston YFC, Norfolk’s, Helen Reeve as vice chairwoman.

Chairwoman of the competitions steering group is Alex Mackellar, from Ridware YFC, in Staffordshire,  with Claire Worden of Lostwithiel YFC, Cornwall, as vice chairwoman.

The council’s events steering group will be chaired by Thorngumbald YFC, East Riding of Yorkshire’s, Hollie Harris supported by Gareth Laking who is a member of Alford YFC in Lincolnshire.

NFYFC’s personal development steering group is headed by Durham’s Claire Swinburne, with Bob Dronfield, of Bakewell YFC, Derbyshire, as vice chairman.

Mike Stirk will be stepping down as a trustee in order to become chairman of the board of management, taking over from acting chairman Christopher Lloyd.

Also joining the board are John Hardman as treasurer and Laura McIlwain as HR specialist.
