Are you passionate about the countryside, shooting and conservation? Do you enjoy writing, taking photos and making videos? Then BASC Young Shots Journalists is a project you want to get involved in!

The British Association for Shooting and Conservation is looking for young, talented individuals to take part in a competition to win the opportunity to write for their Young Shots webpage and Shooting and Conservation magazine.

The competition will run all summer until Tuesday 11 September. BASC is looking for six talented young writers to promote shooting and conservation to their generation, after all who is ever going to do this better than young people already living in, working and enjoying the countryside?

To enter, all you need to do is write up to 500 words about a subject you are most passionate about and to do with shooting or conservation.

Don’t forget to include drawings, photos and videos (optional). When you are ready, send your work to youngshots@basc.org.uk with the subject line ‘BASC Young Shots Journalists’ and your name, address and phone number.

The six lucky winners will receive hampers sponsored by Countryside Greetings, BASC Young Shots Journalist badge and certificate, vouchers for coaching lessons at shows and free entry to BASC Young Shots events throughout 2019!

Interested? Think you can meet the requirements? Start researching your topic now and get writing. Want to know more? Go to the BASC website or email your questions to youngshots@basc.org.uk
