Support this year’s Anti-Bullying Week by running the Curve’s new Beat Bullying module.

Almost 30% of children aged 6-15 have reported being bullied in the last 12 months. But it’s not just children – bullying can be experience by anyone at any time of life and in any setting.

Anti-Bullying Week – being held this year from 12-16 November and organised by the Anti-Bullying Alliance – aims to support schools and other organisations to help children and young people, parents and people who work with young people to recognise and challenge bullying.

And there’s no better way to support it in your club than by delivering the Curve’s new Beat Bullying module dedicated to tacking the issue.

Beat Bullying encourages members to understand the different types of bullying, the effects and impacts of bullying and the importance of teamwork and cohesion within a YFC.

The new YFC Curve Beat Bullying module covers the definition of what bullying is, the different forms of bullying, the impact bullying can have on an individual and group dynamics and how bullying can be reduced/tackled in a club environment.

In addition to the resources from the Curve, the Anti-Bullying Alliance has lots of resources available for download including lesson plans and videos.

The theme of this year’s Anti-Bullying Week is ‘Choose Respect’ and seeks to help everyone understand the definition of respect, that bullying is a behaviour choice, and that we all need to respect each other both face-to-face and online – whether we agree with someone or not.
