National Federation of Young Farmers' Clubs

Fun, Learning, and Achievement

23 April 2019

The National Federation of Young Farmers’ Clubs (NFYFC) is aware that there are a number of YFC members who are interested in visiting Blackpool over the bank holiday weekend of the 3-5 May 2019.

NFYFC is not organising or involved in any events that are being hosted in Blackpool during that weekend and YFC members have been advised about this in letters to their Club Chairmen and through communications with County Staff and Council representatives.

Any YFC members who choose to go to Blackpool over the first bank holiday weekend in May do so as individuals and do not represent Young Farmers’ Clubs (YFC) or NFYFC.

As this is not an NFYFC or YFC event, the use of the NFYFC logo is not sanctioned to be put on display or to be worn during that weekend in Blackpool.

Any person who chooses to go to Blackpool during the 3-5 May 2019 has been informed via correspondence with all YFC clubs that they must not bring the YFC or NFYFC names into disrepute – this means where NFYFC’s name or the YFC name are communicated in connection with an incident. NFYFC will take action against anyone who brings the NFYFC name or YFC name into disrepute.

As the event in Blackpool on 3-5 May has not been organised or sanctioned by NFYFC, the YFC membership insurance policy will not provide any insurance cover for both public and personal liability.

NFYFC will not be in Blackpool during the weekend and will not be able to provide assistance to YFC members who are there. NFYFC has informed the local authorities and the Council about this.
