This is an opportunity for YFC members, or past members, to be trained to act as official ToWA judges at YFC competitions (and tug of war competitions outside the organisation).

For those counties where members are already trained as ToWA judges, those individuals are also invited to attend this course as a refresher. Training will take place in Lincoln on 20 March 2010.

The newly re-launched Environment Agency’s NetRegs (Learning About Agricultural Waste) tool, is a great way for YFC members in England and Wales to learn more about how to manage their agricultural waste and save money.

The easy-to-navigate free online tool offers separate guidance on waste management in England and Wales.

It is divided into seven sections, including transporting and storing waste and defining agricultural waste, making the information easy to follow. There is also a quiz and checklists to print off, as well as the option to sign up for a free monthly email newsletter with information about the latest environmental regulations affecting agricultural businesses.

Links to the tool can be found on the NFYFC website; on the Wales YFC website; and also direct from the Environment Agency.
