If your farming business is being affected by the lastest foot and mouth movement restrictions, practical support and a listening ear are on hand at the Farm Crisis Network (FCN). You can talk to volunteers on the organisation’s helpline between 7.00am and 11.00pm each day. Callers will be offered support from local FCN groups and other farming support organisations as appropriate. FCN is hoping that the disease will not spread any further. However, preparations are in place to provide extra support for those who call for help. “We know that there will be long-term implications for all those affected and the movement restrictions are already causing difficulties for farmers across the country,” said the organisation’s national coordinator Christopher Jones. FCN has provided support for the farming community for the past 12 years and works closely with its Farming Help partner charities, Royal Agricultural Benevolent Institution (RABI) and ARC-Addington Fund. For the FCN helpline, please call 07002 326 326.
