Join the YFC challenge to change African farmers’ lives forever

YFC members have voted to go on safari as the fancy dress theme at this year's annual convention in Torquay.

But four lucky YFC members will be heading off on a once-in-a-lifetime African safari for real. And it could be you...

Join the biggest ever-online challenge to Young Farmers’ Clubs when the Great African YFC Web Challenge goes live tomorrow (2 December 2009).

The Great African YFC Web Challenge calls on all YFC members in England and Wales to get competitive for the chance to win a once-in-a-lifetime Kenyan safari holiday for four people, kindly donated by Sarova Hotels.

What’s more – they will be helping African farmers at the same time through the charity FARM-Africa.

To win the amazing safari prize plus a unique opportunity to visit FARM-Africa’s work in Kenya, teams must compete against one another to raise the most money by selling household items on eBay.

The Great African YFC Web Challenge celebrates the link between farmers in the UK and farmers in Africa.

Simply register your team online by going to and receive an information pack bursting full of useful tips to help your team win a unique holiday.

FARM-Africa is launching the Great African YFC Web Challenge to help improve the lives of farmers in eastern Africa. FARM-Africa’s work shows that poor farmers prove time after time that, with just a little help, they can help themselves and pull their families and communities out of poverty.

Registration opens tomorrow (2 December) for one week only and the competition is open to a maximum of 200 teams - so register quickly to ensure you can take part.

The selling qualifying period will begin on 2 December 2009 until 14 February 2010.

The team that raises the most money for the charity during the selling period will win the trip for four nominated members.
