Location – rural Lancashire
A farm manager is required to take responsibility for a business
comprising a small attractively located lowland farm near Preston,
Lancashire and a lakeside farm on Ullswater, Cumbria. The successful
candidate will be able to demonstrate how they would manage an
integrated sheep enterprise of 1,000 breeding ewes including a hefted
flock of Swaledale and Herdwick sheep.
We seek an educated person who understands the importance of good
administration, who has practical shepherding experience, and who can
manage capital projects and further develop the business. Based in
Lancashire, the position will involve travel between the two properties,
for which a vehicle is available.
