Advanced train the trainer

What does the course offer?

Initially designed to ensure YFC trainers receive recognition in their own careers for the training they deliver within the organisation, the advanced train the tTrainer course has also been developed to build on the training skills learned through the NFYFC train the trainer course.

Who is the course for?

The course is aimed at members aged 18 and over, who have already attended train the trainer and are delivering training at county level.

What does it involve?

Advanced train the tTrainer is delivered at level three standard (A level equivalent) and involves a full weekend of training, including a research assignment which must be completed before the end of the course. During the weekend participants must also conduct a 10-minute observed training session. It also covers:

  1. How to identify training needs at individual, occupational and organisational level.
  2. Designing training programmes.
  3. Recognising and providing for specific learning/training needs.
  4. Delivering trainiing effectively using a range of techniques.
  5. How to monitor and evaluate training.
  6. How to facilitate learning.
  7. Preparing and developing training resources.

What does it cost?

£80 per person.

When is the next course?

1-3 April 2011.

How to book

Successful completion of advanced train the trainer results in an ITOL level 3 certificate in training and occupational learning and recipients are given the option to join ITOL and deliver their own accredited training.
