What does the course offer?

This inspiring course has been developed to meet the current leadership needs of Young Farmers’ Clubs and national leadership standards. Custom-written for YFC, it also offers ITOL accredited certification.
Who is the course for?
This course has been written specifically for those who currently hold club officer positions, have already undertaken the county club officer training, and who want to progress their leadership skills. Aimed at members aged 18 and over, this course is also suitable for associates and staff who want to develop and certificate their leadership skills.
What does it involve?
The course involves a full weekend of training and includes:
- The difference between management and leadership.
- Effective communication.
- Heading successful meetings.
- Basic marketing/promotion skills.
- Managing your own professional development.
- Legislative requirements within YFCs.
- The basics behind strategic planning.
Participants will be asked to complete a small assignment before the course, involving the evaluation of their own and others’ leadership.
What does it cost?
£80 per person, which includes the cost of the course, certification and a shared twin room with full board.
