National Federation of Young Farmers' Clubs

Fun, Learning, and Achievement

13 February 2013

A photography exhibition, celebrating 75 years of Cumbria FYFC, has been unveiled to the public at North West Auction Mart in Kendal.

The exhibition features a range of photographs, documents and historical information gathered from the archives of the 26 Young Farmers’ Clubs around the county. They detail the work of the Federation, which provides a vital link between small, local groups enabling them to be heard with a larger voice.

Jan Davinson, Chief Officer for Cumbria Young Farmers, said;

"It’s really good to see all the different young farmers clubs from around the county coming together to create this exhibition.  Each one has put together a really fascinating display telling the unique history of their club – and together it makes a really interesting picture of generations of farming across Cumbria and what our members have gained from being in YFC. We are very pleased that our exhibition is being displayed at Kendal’s amazing new Auction building."

The exhibition is free and will be at Kendal Auction Mart for the next month.
