Eighty five past, present and future members of Kingsbrompton Young Farmers' Club gathered to celebrating the Clubs 80th birthday this month.

To mark the occasion the club held a dinner and dance in Brompton Regis Village Hall, which also included an auction of promises and a live band. 

Laura Tidy Club Press Officer said:

“On behalf of the club I would like to thank everyone who contributed in making the hall look fantastic, organising and preparing the food and drink”.

Lucy Luxton Event Organiser added:

“It was fantastic to have so many friendly faces of all ages coming together to celebrate this occasion. We were honoured to have Harold Hayes an original member of Kingsbrompton Young Farmers with us celebrating this marvellous occasion”

Young Farmers’ Clubs across the country raise hundreds of thousands of pounds for charity every year.

If your Club has been busy fundraising, then why not get your achievements recognised by NFYFC. There are two trophies up for grabs for YFC Clubs and Counties that raise the most money for charity throughout the year. The winners are calculated on a per member basis so even if you don't have many member you could still be in with a chance of winning!

  • The Prince of Wales Trophy is awarded to the County that raises the most money for charity
  • The Lionel Hill MBE Club Charity Cup is awarded to the Club that raises the most money for charity.

To be in with a chance of winning this trophy, which will be presented at the Annual General Meeting, download an entry form and send to Sandra Bromley at NFYFC - sandra.bromley@nfyfc.org.uk. The closing date for entries is Friday 22nd November.
