National Federation of Young Farmers' Clubs

Fun, Learning, and Achievement

18 May 2015

It was a stroll down memory lane for Wiltshire YFC as old and new members joined together at the county's annual rally.

Hundreds of Young Farmers, past and present, descended upon Widleys Farm in Malmesbury to celebrate the 80th anniversary of Wiltshire YFC and take part in a variety of competitions - including the much-coveted Past Members Shield.

It was a nostalgic event for all concerned, especially for the past county chairmen, who got together for a group photo along with current national chairmen, Hannah Talbot (pictured right).

The Past Members Shield saw clubs take part in a wide variety of activities, including cake decorating, photography, floral art and even an obstacle course.

Malmesbury YFC took home the shield, while Chippenham YFC (pictured right) won the main rally.

Current chairman of Wiltshire YFC, Liz Hutchison, said: "We were also able to donate a cheque to Wiltshire Air Ambulance with the money raised from 80th anniversary calendar and our £80 challenge which each club took part in. In total we donated £4700 which is great!!!!"
