Wales YFC members all set to broaden horizons

Ten members of the Wales Federation of Young Farmers' Clubs have been chosen to travel to countries such as Canada, Kenya and Uganda as a part of the NFYFC International Discovery programme.

The lucky members from Wales took part in a special selection process to decide who would be representing the organisation on visits across the globe in 2010.

“These ten members are in addition to the 19 other members already chosen during a previous selection day held at the Wales YFC Office in Builth Wells,” said Caroline Dawson, Wales YFC activities and international committee chairwoman. “This means that Wales YFC will be well represented around the world, with a total of 29 members heading for foreign climes.

“The International Discovery programme is yet another way in which YFC members can benefit from a true chance of a lifetime. Members will get the chance to work abroad on homestays, use their teaching skills in developing countries, be a part of a Welsh team during the European Rally, not to mention the chance to make new friends from different cultures.”
