Top members honoured


Work rewarded: County chairman Aled Johnson presents the junior member of the year award to Hannah Phillips, of Templeton YFC.
The hard work, dedication and enthusiasm of two Pembrokeshire young farmers has been rewarded with the county’s most prestigious honours.
Pembrokeshire YFC recently selected its senior and junior members of the year, with the awards going to two members who work tirelessly for their clubs.

Richard Summons, of Tiers Cross YFC, was named young farmer of the year. Current club chairman Richard has held several posts in Tiers Cross YFC and is always on hand to help behind the scenes or in the ‘front line’, as well as representing his club and county in a variety of competitions.
Although still a junior member, Hannah Phillips, of Templeton YFC, has carried out the role of club secretary for several years and taken part in competitions at county, Wales and national levels.
Richard and Hannah both represented Pembrokeshire in the Wales YFC senior and junior member of the year competitions.
