Wales YFC thank volunteers!

To mark national Volunteers Week Wales YFC wish to publicly thank all of the volunteers that contribute to the success of the organisation.

Volunteers’ Week is an annual event which celebrates the fantastic contribution that millions of volunteers make across the UK and is held between the 1st and 7th of June.

Enfys Evans, Wales YFC Chairman states,“Without the contribution of the hundreds of volunteers involved with the YFC at all levels, be it club, county or Wales it would be difficult for the organisation to operate.

The role of the volunteers are crucial to YFC, take a county rally for example, where most federations hold eliminators for the Wales YFC Royal Welsh Show competitions. To stage the event many people give their time freely to assist prior, during and after the event to train, set up, steward, judge and clear up to name a few of the tasks.
Without a doubt the role of the volunteer is a rewarding role as they ensure many opportunities are offered to the young people who are members, and as a member who has gained so much from this unique organisation my role as Wales YFC Chairman it is great way to give something.

We must also remember that those young individuals who undertake a role within their club or county are also giving their time voluntary to help run the club as well as all the members who regularly attend meetings to shape the future of the organisation.

Wales YFC would therefore like to thank the thousands of volunteers across Wales who give their time to ensure that the organisation continues to flourish and offer members a varied programme throughout the year.”
