Wales YFC rural affairs committee to host discussion at the Royal Welsh Show!

The Wales YFC Rural Affairs Committee will host a discussion during the Royal Welsh Show where discussions will held on the topic, ‘YFC means business! Farming for the future: Is diversification the key?

Four inspiring panellists will be present at the discussion, Mr Andy Woodthorpe the Director of rural Wales banking for NatWest, Mr Griffiths from Oaklands free range-eggs, Mrs Daphne Tilley, Elwy Valley Welsh Lamb and Mrs Loraine Makoswski-Heaton from Kid Me Not, both joint NFU Welsh Woman Farmer of the Year 2009.

YFC members and agricultural organisations have been invited to attend the discussion which is intended to inspire those present and get them to think about ways in which they could develop their own farming businesses.

“We are very grateful to these four individuals for giving their time to enable us to host a discussion during the show. Past discussions have been both lively and well supported and I look forward to hearing the views of all those present, and I hope that the members will be able to learn something from the experience of the panel.” said Dylan Jones, Wales YFC Rural Affairs Committee Chairman.
