Ready Steady Cook! – Championing Seasonal British Produce

Challenge opens:

22 May

Challenge closes:

28 May

Challenge final:

Five of the best entries will go through to the Challenge Final Day on Saturday 6 June. The winner will be decided by a public vote on Instagram and Facebook.

How to take part:

Produce a meal championing British produce! Using the chosen ingredients from one of the bags below (or both if you’re feeling ambitious), create a tasty meal to enjoy whilst in isolation. The meal can be sweet or savoury – the choice is yours!

You can use either bag – but you must use all of the ingredients in them. You can add more ingredients to make your dish as long as it includes all the items in the bag as well.

Bag 1 – Pepper

  • British Lamb
  • Asparagus
  • Eggs

Bag 2 – Tomato

  • Rhubarb
  • Dairy (Milk/Cream etc)
  • Soft Fruits

We'd love to see some Instagram Stories or Facebook videos of people cooking their dishes! Your final entry must be a photo of your finished dish with details of what you have made (highlighting the ingredients you have used).

Send photos to Messenger or share on social media and tag NFYFC in your post and use #YFCatHome. We won't be able to see photos if your post visibility is set to 'just friends' so please share via Messenger to NFYFC's Facebook page as well if you want to ensure we have your entry.

Photographs shared on social media (Instagram/Facebook/Twitter) should use the hashtag #YFCatHome - please remember to tag @NFYFC in your post so we can see your picture!

NFYFC’s tags are @NFYFC (Instagram and Twitter) and National Federation of Young Farmers’ Clubs (Facebook).

By entering this competition you give permission for the images to be used by the NFYFC for marketing and promotional purposes.
