National Federation of Young Farmers' Clubs

Fun, Learning, and Achievement

Challenge opens:

10 April

Challenge closes:

16 April

Challenge final:

Five of the best entries will go through to the Challenge Final, which will be held at the Greatest Online Agricultural Show on 2 May. The winner will be decided by a public vote.

How to take part:

With many shops closed and a need for everyone to stay indoors, it's time to celebrate the 'make-do and mend' approach! We are inviting all YFC members to up-cycle or repurpose an item of metal, wood, fabric or plastic. There are no size restrictions, and you can use whatever materials you have to hand. So get creative and produce something new out of something old.

  • Please provide before and after photographs of your work – these should be shared on social media (Instagram/Facebook/Twitter) alongside the hashtag #YFCathome  (Please remember to tag @NFYFC in your post so we can see your creation!)
  • Before you begin your project, please make sure you are aware of potential health and safety risks and use all appropriate Personal Safety Equipment. Correct Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) should be worn to ensure your safety, where necessary.

NFYFC’s social media tags are @NFYFC (Instagram and Twitter) and National Federation of Young Farmers’ Clubs (Facebook).

By entering this competition you give permission for the images to be used by the NFYFC for marketing and promotional purposes. Images may be entered into ‘The Greatest Online Agricultural Show’ – more information to be provided on this.
