British Wool tours for YFCs

British Wool tours for YFCs

Young Farmers’ Clubs are invited to book a tour of the British Wool process in Bradford for up to 12 members to attend.

The Walk the Wool Chain tours are ideal for a day trip for clubs looking to add something different into their club programme.

There are two opportunities remaining available to book in 2024, with the first one being 17 September 2024, with dates to be confirmed for the December tour.

This trip includes:

  • A tour of the British Wool process to show you how wool goes from fleece to yarn.
  • Travel to Wool House, Bradford, to explore everything that happens at British Wool and see a live auction.
  • A tour of British Wool’s Bradford Depot to see and learn how wool’s graded and packed.
  • A chat over lunch and then hop on a British Wool minibus to tour a scouring plant in Bradford and see the process of washing and combing wool.

The tour is restricted to members who are over 18 years old. Please register your interest here when you have 12 YFC attendees and you’ll be advised if your application has been successful.
