Recently, the club has been very busy, particularly preparing for the National Entertainment Finals, which we proudly competed in on Saturday 25 April.
Alongside this, we have organised two successful fundraising events:
We also enjoyed a club social at Grove Bowling in Leominster, where members took part in bowling and had a go at the driving range, an excellent opportunity to relax and bond as a group.
As a club, our favourite competitions are the Entertainments, Pantomime, and Drama. These competitions bring everyone together, encourage creativity, and give all members the chance to get involved, regardless of experience.
With a strong group of younger members, we also really enjoy junior field days and rally days. They provide a great opportunity for our juniors to get stuck in, try new competitions, build confidence, and, most importantly, have fun along the way.
Supporting our local community is at the heart of what we do.
On Saturday 4 April, we organised an Easter-themed tractor run. For every tractor that entered, an Easter egg was donated to the children’s ward at Hereford County Hospital. We had an incredible turnout of 50 vehicles.
The following day, a group of members personally delivered the eggs to the hospital. It was a rewarding experience to spread some Easter cheer and see the positive impact of our efforts.

We were impressed by this club’s thoughtful and creative approach to community engagement. Their decision to gift chocolate eggs to a children’s hospital was a genuinely heartwarming initiative – personal, uplifting, and a refreshing alternative to simply making a financial donation. It demonstrated a real understanding of the impact small gestures can have.
Beyond this, the club showed excellent breadth in its activities. Representing their county at the Performing Arts national final is a significant achievement, reflecting both talent and dedication. Meanwhile, the successful organisation of an Easter tractor run highlights their ability to bring people together in a fun and memorable way.
Well done Eardisley YFC.
