YFC members invited to new event to discuss future of the industry

A new Question Time styled event is open to young farmers to attend to discuss the future of the industry in February.

Held in London on 27 February 2024, the event – Supporting the Future of Professionalism in Agriculture – aims to increase awareness of the key issues impacting the agricultural sector. It will also bring together leading agricultural entities and professionals.

The event is a collaboration between the Institute of Agricultural Management (IAgrM), the Council for Awards of Royal Agricultural Societies – English Panel (CARAS-England), The Institute for Agriculture & Horticulture (TIAH), the Farmers Club Under 30’s, and the Farming Community Network (FCN).

Chaired by Ben Briggs, Group Publisher and Editor in Chief at Agriconnect, participants will include Robert Shepherd (IAgrM), Jude McCann (FCN), Milly Fyfe (CARAS), Liz Warner (TIAH) and Eleanor Kay (Farmers Club under 35’s)

Discussions will focus on shaping the future of agriculture by addressing essential themes such as health, skills, networking, knowledge exchange, and professionalism.

Victoria Bywater, spokesperson for the event, said:

"With the ever-evolving landscape of agriculture, it's crucial to come together, share knowledge, and craft strategies that ensure the well-being of our workforce and maintain the highest standards of professionalism. This event is a platform to begin that process – fostering collaborative discussion and innovation.”

The event will be held at One Birdcage Walk, London SW1H 9JJ on Tuesday 27 February, at 6.30pm. Tickets are £40 +VAT and the event is open to anyone who wishes to contribute to and learn about the evolving dynamics of the industry.
