Jessica Rose

What is your highest achievement in YFC?

Winning the 'Heart of YFC' NFYFC National Achiever Award, the greatest honour!

Why do you want to be elected to the role?

I have so much love and passion for our incredible organisation and everything it provides our members. I want to help contribute towards futureproofing the longevity of our Federation, enabling many more generations to come to benefit and enjoy all it has to offer.

I also want to inspire the next generation of Young Farmers that you can pursue any leadership role you set your mind to.

What skills will you bring to this role?

I am a hard-working, reliable, honest individual. I have great organisational skills and am able to communicate effectively with people of all ages. I show initiative and welcome change where necessary.

What is the biggest challenge - and the biggest opportunity - facing YFC?

One of our biggest challenges in YFC currently is the management and integration of junior and senior members. Our 10-28 age range of membership brings opportunity too. When executed effectively, membership will increase and the intergenerational connections form inspiration for all.

How will you represent members across England and Wales?

Through my own lived experience as a long-standing member. Not only this and more importantly I plan to represent theirs. I pride myself on being a friendly face and a listening ear. I look forward to being out and about meeting as many of you as possible. I am a members' member and plan to bring the opinions and voices of members to the Board.

Why should Council vote for you?

Council should vote for me as I am committed to giving the role my all. I hope together we continue to be the thriving member-led youth organisation we are. Growing, adapting and providing endless opportunities to so many young people across England and Wales. I look forward to celebrating our current achievements and collectively working to solve challenges.

Elections take place on 22 February 2026. Your Council representative will be given a vote at the meeting.
