What’s your highest achievement in YFC?

Joining the Board of Management as a member representative. In competitions I have represented Devon and Cornwall (controversial I know) at Area level multiple times in competitions including Pantomime, Senior Member of the Year and Entertainments.

Why you want to be elected to the role?

I have gained opportunities that would not have been possible without YFC. I want to help lead and shape the organisation, using my years of experience, to ensure it’s there for members present and future and they can enjoy and take part in the opportunities I have been lucky enough to benefit from.

What skills will you bring to this role?

I have experience of working in a charity environment and leading a not for profit organisation. I’m decisive and committed to achieving goals and working in the best interests of the Federation. I am sociable and thrive on communicating and being around members and key stakeholders. I listen to other people’s views open to hearing how we can work together to achieve the best for the membership.

What is the biggest challenge - and opportunity – facing YFC?

The biggest challenge is the divide with our older members and encouraging them to return to YFC after moving away for work or studies. We need to find a way not to lose their vital skills and knowledge and keep them involved in the Federation.

As we approach NFYFC’s centenary in 2032, we have a huge opportunity to build on our legacy and shape what members want the Federation to look like in the next 100 years.

How will you represent YFC members across England and Wales?

As a member-led federation, I will represent the members’ views from throughout England and Wales. I welcome the opportunity to meet and listen to members’ concerns and success stories and share them with others to promote the good work.

I am always willing to stand up for YFC and achieve the best for the membership.

Why should Council vote for you?

I am passionate about and committed to YFC. I will dedicate my life to this role to ensure I act on the members’ behalf to achieve what we set out to do.

I have proven leadership experience as President of Harper Adams Students’ Union and I understand NFYFC after being on the Board of Management, as well as part of the Council and the Youth Forum. I have been involved at every level of the organisation and I hope I can give back and represent YFC further.

Elections take place on 22 February 2026. Your Council representative will be given a vote at the meeting.
