Spend time completing a nomination form that will impress the judges.
NFYFC has invited some leading industry figures to help judge the 2025 awards – and it’s YFC members’ chance to really impress. Providing enough information about achievements is essential and conveying it succinctly is also important.
Always give details and references to explain to the judges more about the achievements of the person you are nominating. Don’t assume they are aware of your work or actions.
Provide references, such as links to positive coverage the nominee gained for their achievements. It's not enough to just say you think a person is great – you need to share evidence to prove that they are.
Really demonstrate the impact of the nominee’s achievements. Did their actions help others? Did it change and improve processes? Has there been any long-lasting impact? Share how what this person, club or county has done has made significant change.
Include links to any projects or activities that might be relevant to the nomination. Not all the judges are from YFC or have a YFC background so won't have inside knowledge. Including details, such as numbers, budgets, size of events etc all help to create a clearer picture about achievements.
The judges have a lot of nomination forms to read, so make sure your nomination sticks to the main points and shows impact. You'll need to write more than just a sentence though! Use your words carefully to detail what the person or club has done to impress, show impact and include references, where possible.
Good luck!
