Young Farmers are invited to take part in a unique three-day event this September that aims to bridge the gap between urban and rural communities – and put young voices at the heart of the conversation about the future of food and farming.
Emergent Generation: Reconnecting Town and Country takes place from 11–13 September 2025 at Conygree Farm in Gloucestershire, and is open to YFC members at a special early bird rate of £75 (excluding accommodation).
With camping and glamping options starting from just £25, it’s an accessible and exciting opportunity to get involved in something meaningful – and fun.
Expect a mix of inspiring talks, farm walks, practical workshops, and off-site visits, all designed to create space for challenging assumptions, sparking new ideas, and forming unexpected collaborations. There will also be great food and a celebratory atmosphere to wrap up each day.
A key part of the event will be a session on Saturday 12 September led by Back the Future – a joint project between NFYFC, SOS-UK, and FLAME. Ambassadors from the project will share how they are working together to champion youth voices in food and farming, and they’ll be inviting input from attendees to help shape future work.
NFYFC’s involvement in Back the Future and its support of events like Emergent Generation reflects its commitment to giving YFC members a platform in key national conversations. Whether you’re passionate about farming, food systems, or making your voice heard in shaping the future of rural life – this is the event for you.
Bring your tent or treat yourself to a luxury bell tent – and be part of something that could change how the future of farming is shaped.
