Spend five unforgettable days in the Lombardy region in November 2026, exploring world-class agriculture, traditional food production and iconic Italian culture. From artisan cheese and Parma ham to balsamic vinegar and even a Ferrari simulator, this trip combines hands-on learning with unique experiences — all set against the stunning backdrop of northern Italy.

Cost of Trip

£989 excluding flights - those travelling need to make their own arrangements for flights from a UK airport to Milan Maplensa airport (current flight costs in September 2025 are approximately £250). Once you arrive at the airport you will be collected by Field Farm Tours to start the journey.

What Else Do I Need to Pay For?

Deposit, Experience, Flights, Visa, Insurance and Social Expenditure. A £30 deposit is also payable to NFYFC which will be returned when the member produces a multimedia presentation about their trip.

More Info About the Trip

Italy is one of the most exciting destinations in Europe, full of history, culture and character. The country caters for all types of tourists due to its spectacular scenery including the Alps peaking above 3,000 metres, lush blue lakes with Lake Garda in the north.

The tour explores the southern region of Lombardy in norther Italy including Milan and Cremona. The area is known for its rich musical heritage, particularly its violin-making tradition, and its fertile agricultural lands in the Po Valley.

Technical visits will include dairy with milk processed into the unique regional cheese and a guided tour of the cheese processing unit, a family run pork curing unit which produces the speciality Prosciutto Parma ham and a quality balsamic vinegar producer, where you will see the produce from field to cask.

In addition, visit the Ferrari Museum, and enjoy a Hi-tech Ferrari simulator experience which replicates the feel and power of a real drive in these single seat racing cars. The tour is sure to be an unforgettable experience for many.
